Hippie Child
Evan went to his first show! We took him to Widespread Panic at Red Rocks, and it was a rockin' time for all of us. He did amazing, and loved dancing and being around all of the people - we had so much fun!!

Father's Day
We spent Evan's first Father's Day fishing with dad and the Knight family in a beautiful mountain canyon - what a great day!

6 Months Old!
Time really has flown by! Evan turned 6 months old today - he's 20 lbs. and nearly 28" long, and gets more animated every day. We opened presents and had an exciting dinner of oatmeal and bananas! This video is for the grandparents (unless anyone else is remotely interested in watching him eat...) - you can see that he's still a very enthusiastic eater!

More Food & Lots of Babbling

Big Week!
Wow - Evan's first tooth, with #2 about to break the surface any minute, and he had his first solid food last night! It was a bit unintentional, he was showing interest in mom eating so we tried a dab of banana on our fingertip. He sucked it off and reached for more, so we tried a spoonful...he gobbled that up, plus about 3 more tablespoons full! Guess the kid was ready to start with some real food.

Evan's First Tooth & Our First Mother's Day
Evan got his first tooth on Friday! We spent a long weekend with our friends at Blue Lake Ranch, near Durango, CO. On the way there we stopped to see the Great Sand Dunes, the tallest in North America. The whole weekend we had gorgeous weather and breathtaking views, it was relaxing and lots of fun! The babies were great, and we had a wonderful first Mother's Day together.

Hiking & Zoo Time
It's hard to take pictures on the trail, but Evan and mom have been doing lots of hikes with our Mountain Mamas group in the beautiful weather. We weren't the only moms with babies at the zoo this week, this cute little duckling crossed our path while strolling around! Evan used his first consonant yesterday, he babbled "mamamamama" :)

A Chill Week
Our future REI consumer...for now he's settling for eating the catalog! Also a pic from our trip to the Botanic Gardens with friend, Audrey. We went on a very challenging hike this week, and Evan napped in the backpack the entire time while mom huffed it in the heat!

Michigan Trip
Whew - what a trip! We had an open house at Grandma Maddy & Grandpa Bill's house to introduce Evan, saw lots of friends and family, and gave him his first mini-haircut. I'd rather not talk about the plane trip this time...

My Guard Dog and Other Fun Stuff
On Monday we went on a hike with a group we joined called Colorado Mountain Mamas. We both had a blast, and have a lot more hikes already scheduled. This morning, Evan officially rolled over for the first time! He timed it perfectly, right before dad left for work :)
