Visits

This past weekend we headed up to Steamboat to chill & hang with our friends, Craig & Kate. I think the honor of "funniest Evan saying" for the week goes to a comment after we left dinner with them one night - we got in the car, and he says, "Nice people"! We had a great visit with Auntie Carolyn last week, and this week with Natalie and her family. The fall hiking has been wonderful, cool temps and dry trails. We've been doing more activities lately that involve running Evan's energy out, rather than mom's - trips to the zoo, Children's Museum, playing in the park, etc. He loves to watch football (thankfully), but it doesn't matter who's playing...he just likes to yell, "Go green!". And we get a kick out of him saying "Obama!" anytime a commercial comes on TV with Barack - which is a lot, being the battleground state of Colorado.!

Rocky Mountain Fall

Check out the slideshow for pix of Evan playing in the leaves - like any little kid, he loves jumping in them and throwing them at us! His vocabulary is growing so quickly, and he cracks us up daily with the funny things he says. With all of the Halloween decorations around, I've been hearing a lot of, "Ooh, scares me", and I think about a million times a day he says some variation of, "I come too!...Mommy come too!...or Daddy come too!".

Friend Time, Mountain Style

This weekend we went up to the mountains with a group of friends - this is the same group that we began the summer camping with, then went to camping in cabins, and this time opted to rent a house! The kids had such a blast, it was really fun to see them play from dawn till dusk. The parents had a great time, too, just chilling out watching football and getting some good Euchre in!
